Joining Illawong Little Athletics is EASY when you follow the below steps…

Please note: Registrations are ONLY accepted online. We do not accept cash or cheque payments. 

For NEW ILLAWONG LAC registrations:

1) Log onto this link Little Athletics
2) Follow the instructions on the website (Ensure you select the right age for your child, you can look it up here).
3) Turn up at the Ridge Athletics Track between 12 noon – 12:30pm on a Saturday afternoon. See our registrar, Letisha. She will sight proof of payment as well as proof of age documentation. She may also be able to assign a number on the day depending on when you registered.
4) You MUST bring proof of birth documentation otherwise we cannot register you.
5) You NEED to bring your payment receipt that is generated when you paid (check your junk folder in your email if you think you did not get a receipt number).
6) Purchase uniform ($35 for a crop top or singlet). Please note, cash or cheque ONLY for uniforms.

For returning athletes:

1) Log onto this link Little Athletics
2) Follow the instructions on the website (Ensure you select the right age for your child, you can look it up here).
3) Turn up at the Ridge Athletics Track on Saturday between 12 noon – 12:30pm. See our registrar, Letisha who will give you your registration pack.
Important Note – If you are unsure of your LANSW username and password which is needed for registration as a returning athlete, you can find out both by entering your email address here.

Registration fees:

Athletes – $135 (plus uniform)
Tiny Tots – $90 (including Illawong T-Shirt)
You will also have the opportunity to use your Active Kids Voucher towards your payment when registering online.

The Club is offering an “Early Bird” special. If you register and pay online between 1 – 17 August you will save $15 per athlete, so register early to receive your discount.

Important Information:

  • Registrations are open for children aged 5 to 16 as at 31 December, 2018.
  • Tiny Tots (non competition) – children who are 3 or 4 years of age will participate in the Tiny Tots age group. Children who are only 2 years of age as at 1 October 2018 but turn 3 years of age between 1 October and 31 December 2018, will not be eligible to register until their third birthday.
  • To work out which Age group you will be competing in, please refer to the Age Grid.
  • Anyone registering who was not registered last season with Illawong MUST bring proof of age (Birth Certificate, Passport, etc.) at time of registration.

    Summary of changes to age groups for the 2018/19 season:

    Age groups: the date on which Little Athletics will determine its age groups, will move from 30 September to 31 December. This change will take effect in season 2018/2019.

    Who’s affected: athletes born during the period 1 October to 31 December will progress up an additional age group (i.e. two age groups) heading into the 2018/2019 season.

    U17 age group: Centre, Zone, Region and State levels of competition will still be offered for affected athletes who would have been in their second year of U17 in 2018/2019 (i.e. athletes born between 1 October 2001 and 31 December 2001, will still be eligible to register in the U17 age group for the coming season). This provision will only apply for the 2018/2019 season.

    Tiny Tots: Children who are 3 or 4 years of age will participate in the Tiny Tots age group. Children who are only 2 years of age as at 1 October but turn 3 years of age between 1 October and 31 December, will not be eligible to register until their third birthday.

    ALAC (Australian Little Athletics Championships): eligibility criteria for the Australian Little Athletics Championships (ALAC) have been adjusted to include athletes affected by the age group change.

    Trans Tasman Tour and Challenge: competition rules and selection policies have been adjusted to include athletes affected by the age group change.

    National U15 Camp: eligibility criteria have been reviewed and adjusted to include athletes affected by the age group change.

    Records: no new records will be established as a result of the change in age groups.
